Clear the Way Original
“Clear the Way” reflects the Gospel of Mark’s sense of immediacy—where Jesus moves decisively and confidently- knowing the kingdom of God is coming. In Mark’s account, the sense of urgency is evident. Jesus moves ahead while the disciples follow behind with hesitation and uncertainty, still learning what it means to trust Him fully.
This artwork is meant to capture that tension: Christ advancing with quiet authority as others lag, unsure yet drawn forward. It reminds us that the call of the Kingdom is not passive—it demands action, courage, and a willingness to follow even when clarity and confidence are still forming.
This painting was inspired by a new sermon series Traders Point is doing- a year long study on Mark called “Clear the Way: The Urgent Kingdom”
